We are the Conference of Our Lady of Fatima within the Society of St Vincent de Paul, which was founded in August 2023 in Prague, Czech Republic, by a group of close friends who, as well as all members of the Vincentian family, were inspired by the love of our Lord and, besides others, the works of St Vincent de Paul.
Our goal is to help poor people in an organized and effective way. Poor people are not just people with fewer money, it is also people with fewer love, happiness, light and stability in their life. Poverty takes on many forms and it whenever we can, it is our responsibility to help those who need it the most.
Our help is not restricted only to those of a specific religion, or nationality, or sexual orientation, or political or other opinions. We help those who need it and who accept it.
The love of God is also not conditional and we, as well as anyone else, are not without sin to justify judging others in any way. Besides, meeting and helping people who have different opinions, different backgrounds or different cultures is a great way to learn how wonderful, talented and full of love people are. Some just have learned to keep all this hidden deep within them and might not even be aware of it themselves.
We are immensely thankful to God not only for His love and for guiding us everyday, but also for all challenges and hardships that make us grow together. It is a grace to bear witness how great and warm His love for all people is.
